ICANN expanding generic top level domains!

ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers Board of Directors has approved a plan to dramatically increase the number of Internet generic top-level domains (gTLDs) at its public meeting in Singapore. The vote took place on the first day of the ICANN Singapore meeting.

BMW introduced a Car with concept: Vision Efficient Dynamics sports car from BMW has reached India. The BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics concept is a diesel-hybrid car built by boffins at Munich, Germany over a period of almost a year. Its a four seat sports car with a combination of performance and economy. BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics has an outstanding fuel efficiency of 26.5 kilometres/litre and an exemplary CO² emission rating of 99 grams/kilometre. AOL buys Huffington Post for $315 million in cash and stock!

AOL buys Huffington Post for $315 million. AOL Inc. announced late Sunday that it would buy the Huffington Post, the well-known news and opinion site. This is the AOL’s biggest move since it became an independent company in 2009.
The deal is worth $300 million in cash with $15 million in stock as per The Newyork Times. Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington will oversee a new group responsible for bringing together all editorial content from both companies including news, technology, music and local media websites. The new group will be known as the Huffington Post Media Group.
The Huffington Post Media Group will also be in charge of MapQuest, AOL Music, AutoBlog, Patch, Engadget and TechCrunch. Shah Rukh Khan to promote JMJ group XXX Energy Drinks

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has been chosen as the brand ambassador of JMJ Group firm XXX Energy Drinks Limited. The company is targeting sales of Rs 100 crore from the brand by 2015, said it is looking to set up its first production facility for which it is scouting for location.
“We are in talks to get Shah Rukh Khan as brand ambassador… We will officially announce in March or April next year,” JMJ Group Vice Chairman Sachin Joshi said. Earlier this year, the brand has been associated with Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as its principal sponsor.
Lakshmi Mittal topped the List of Richest 100 in South Africa

Lakshmi Mittal, the renowned Indian steel magnet remains the richest business tycoon in South Africa for the sixth consecutive year.
Mittal is on the tops the 100 wealthiest businessmen in South Africa released by the weekly ‘Sunday Times’, even though he is not living in South Africa.
Mittal’s listed holdings of R 21.5 billion ($3.4 billion). Mittal first provided technical assistance to turn the ailing Iscor around before buying it out in 2001 as he expanded his global steel empire.
