Green card Lottery hopefuls are to sue the US State Department

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program or green card lottery conducted by US state Department, provides up to 55,000 diversity visas annually from a pool of entrants through a random selection process. All entries must be nationals of countries with low rates of immigration to the US. The State Department does not notify successful applicants by email. Rather, entrants are encouraged to check the status of their entries through a website posting.

Tom Watson, the show stealer at 61!

Golf legend Tom Watson steal the show in the second round of Open Championship and showed that he can still produce some magical moments at age 61.
The veteran golfer took his 4-iron at the par-3 and the shot hit the centre of the green and with one hop disappeared into the cup to roars of approval from the gallery. That left him at even par for the tournament after his 72 on Thursday.
“Wish I could have seen it go in,” the five-time British Open champ joked as he went to grab his ball.

News Corp opts out of BSkyB bid

News Corporation withdrew its bid to BSkyB because of the pressure from the public and parliament on Wednesday. Rupert Murdoch’s media group News Corporation previously bid to take full control of pay-TV company BSkyB.
“It has become clear that it is too difficult to progress in this climate,” Chase Carey, News Corp.’s Chief Operating Officer, said in an e-mailed statement today. He said News Corp. remains a committed long-term shareholder in BSkyB.
This move shattered News Corp’s key strategy for UK corporate growth. The proposed £8bn deal has been in process for more than a year starting from June 2010. News Corp will have to pay BSkyB a break fee of around £38.5m after walking away from the deal.

Bomb Blasts in Mumbai at Dader, Opera House and Zaveri Bazar!

Mumbai 13th July 2011: Four Bomb Blasts in Bombay on the locations of Zaveri Bazaar, Oepra house, and a taxi in Dadar. Reports are that over 100 Peole are injured so far. Five years before on 11th July 2006 a series of seven blasts happened in Mubai. A total of 200 people were killed and another 714 others have been injured in those blast done by using pressure cookers.

St Basil’s Cathedral in Red Square, Russia celebrates 450th anniversary!

St Basil’s Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox Church located in the Red Square of Moscow, Russia and was built between 1555 and 1561. On 12th July 2011 Saint Basil’s Cathedral is celebrating its 450th anniversary. The church has been part of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. As part of the celebrations Russia is conducting an exhibition dedicated to the “holy fool” Saint Basil, who gave his name to the cathedral.
The site of the church has been, historically, a busy marketplace between the St. Frol’s Gate of the Moscow Kremlin and the outlying posad. The cathedral is constructed to commemorate Czar Ivan’s victory over Mongol rulers, was built on the burial site where St. Basil’s body is buried.

South California will be the name of proposed 51st State of United States according to Jeff Stone, a Republican on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. But Los Angeles will not be a part of the South California.
“Los Angeles is purposely excluded because they have the same liberal policies that Sacramento does. The last thing I want to do is create a state that’s a carbon copy of what we have now,” Stone said.
