Sugarland performance stage collapsed at Indianapolis state fair

The country Band Sugarland is about to perform at the Indiana State fair, but the state collapsed due to wind. The wind just picked up and the stage just caught and the roof just caught and it went up like a sail and then it crashed forward into the people standing in the front. Green card Lottery hopefuls are to sue the US State Department

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program or green card lottery conducted by US state Department, provides up to 55,000 diversity visas annually from a pool of entrants through a random selection process. All entries must be nationals of countries with low rates of immigration to the US. The State Department does not notify successful applicants by email. Rather, entrants are encouraged to check the status of their entries through a website posting.

Earthquake of 7.4 strikes the northern coast of Japan once again

Japan Earthquake: After last March’s disaster quake and tsunami along with nuclear crisis another quake of magnitude 7.4 stroked the north eastern Japan on Sunday once again triggering a Tsunami alert. There was no sign of further damage along the coast or to the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
The massive 9.0 earthquake hit March 11th and wreaked havoc on the region including shaking up Japanese nuclear plants and causing cooling system failures and radiation leaks. Thousands had to evacuate the area as plant workers battled to stop the nuclear plants from causing even more damage More >

The UN observed July 11th as World Population Day every year. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) began observing this day in 1987. In July 11, 1987 there were five billion populations over this planet. The United Nations declared July 11 of that year “Five Billion Day” to mark the estimated date on which we reached that milestone. The day is recognized to create awareness on the importance of family planning, maternal health, gender equality, poverty, and human rights.
The UNFPA is estimating that around Oct. 31 2011 global population will hit seven billion. That’s a growth of 40 per cent in just over 20 years. The planet’s population has doubled since 1968.

South Sudan Celebrating first Independence Day on July 9th 2011!

South Sudan will be celebrating Independence Day on July 9th 2011. A new country has been identified on the world map. A mood of joy swept through its capital with crowds dancing in the streets and last-minute preparations for Saturday’s ceremony. Processions of ex-veterans, soldiers and civilians, including women’s groups, marched through central Juba in the hot sun, some dressed in traditional clothing, playing drums and dancing.

India Census: Population for the new decade is 1.21 billions

The latest India Census shows the major increase in the population of India by 181 million people since 2001 census. Male Population of India is 623.7 million and Female Population 586.5 Million.
India’s population is now 1.21bn, which is bigger than the combined populations of the US, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh. India conducts census once in every 10 years.
