Mar 7th
The spring of 2012 marks the 100th Anniversary of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. In 1912, the city of Tokyo, Japan gave Washington DC an incredible gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees to be planted around the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park, in East Potomac Park and on the grounds of the Washington Monument. Couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to excited up-and-comers like Jessica Chastain and Shailene Woodley made to Oscars Red Carpet. It doesn’t get bigger than this when it comes to star-studded events. The best part of any award show is seeing what everybody is wearing. No particular gown stood out but then I didn’t see anything that would fit the hideous category either. Lets see who got right? Meryl Streep dazzled the red carpet with a Golen sparkling Gown. George Clooney is as handsome as ever walked with his girlfriend. Green, which is not an easy color to pull off, worked for Viola Davis. Her emerald Vera Wang popped against her burnished skin and was fitted at the hips like a coat of latex paint. Octavia Spencer is the best dressed in her gorgeously draped Tadashi Shoji with an ultra flattering sequined starburst at the waistline and foxy train. Michelle Williams wear a Coral strapless Louis Vuitton with a peplum waist. To view the Oscars Red Carpet gallery click More >
