Jun 22nd
It started way back! A lot of great movies like interstellar, Martian, Star Trek, Alien and so on are based on creating human future on planets other than the Earth. We human beings have always been trying to search for something more, probably think of a situation where you get to celebrate your birthday/Anniversary on the moon or any other planet inhabited by humans or similar species. Wouldn’t it be awesome?
And today when the news arrives that scientist and researchers are almost on the verge of inventing life on an uninhabited or unknown planet gives us goosebumps. Yes! Life is possible just like a few decades back when far away communication was almost impossible and today, we have options of call, video calls, and conferences. Thus, anything is possible considering aliens, life on unknown planets or UFO.

Winter Solstice 2011: On December 22 the Shortest Day of the Year!
Dec 21st
The winter solstice is celebrated around the world as the beginning of the return of the sun, and darkness turning into light. In 2011, the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere will occur on Dec. 22, 2011 at 12:30 a.m. EST. Officially the first day of winter, the winter solstice occurs when the North Pole is tilted 23.5 degrees away from the sun. This is the longest night of the year, meaning that despite the cold winter, the days get progressively longer after the winter solstice until the summer solstice in 2012. For those in the Northern Hemisphere, it marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year.
The word “solstice” comes from the Latin word “solstitum”, that means the Sun standing still. This is reference to the fact that the Sun no longer appears to be moving either further north or south on the sky and afterward starts to reverse More >

New Zodiac Sign:Ophiuchus
Jan 17th
New Zodiac Sign: Ophiuchus is the 13th sign! Astronomer Parke Kunkle of The Minnesota Planetarium Society says that due to changes in the Earth’s alignment the dates of many zodiac signs have changed, according to NBC. In addition, there may be a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.
Kunkle says that as the Earth and Sun slowly move the signs gradually change, as expected. The change didn’t happen over night either. The 12 signs were designated to different periods of the year almost 3,000 years ago, when astrology began, and since then the Earth’s position in relation to the sun has changed.
The Associated Press reported Friday evening that Kunkle has since clarified his earlier statements, emphasizing “this is not new news,” and “Astronomers have known about this since about 130 B.C.”
The theory of the 13th Zodiac sign of 2011, Ophiuchus came as the Earth’s position has shifted due to the gravitational pull from the moon and hence the Zodiac Signs must be rearranged to balance this shift. This also added the new sign “Ophiuchus”, a sign represented by a man holding a snake or “SnakeMan”. The sign is based on “Imhotep” of Egypt.
