Not many days ago the “me too” movement was prominent. We talk about women empowerment, safety and protection of Women and children but fail to showcase in media and cinema. The best example is a movie like Kabir Singh and songs like Munni Badnaam, Gandi Baat and so on.

Kabir Singh
Kabir Singh

Here’s presenting you five reasons to not watch Kabir Singh:

1.    The story of the movie revolves around a masculine, testosterone-driven man who has nowit to decide between right and wrong. He is all-time high with his drugs and smoke intake. So, this movie is highly NOT recommended for children and teenagers.

2.    The movie is violent beyond the limits and follows the killing of several men without any repercussions which is far from reality.

3.    The movie fails to respect women in every possible way. Women in the movie are beaten, kissed without consent and tried to be raped on knife point. It is a shame to say we live in a country which says “where women live with respect, God resides in that place”.

4.    The story follows a man with extreme pride, has anger management issues and cannot bear NO to any questions of his also he is shown to be a person who gets away with whatever bad he does just because he is a topper of his batch.

5.    Nobody has a right to dictate anyone according to the law of the nation whereas the protagonist pressurises the female lead to be friends with the girl he chooses and doesn’t let her chose any other partner.

The movie is all about male dominance where the director expects the audience to clap on the toxic masculine habits of a uber-rich guy. Also, the story wants the audience to convince and forgive Kabir Singh.  Misogyny is not to be supported that’s the main aim of us writing this here. We respect all actors. If you think it is ok as it is just a movie then you need to think twice.
