5 Facts about Two Earth-Like Alien Planets found recently
Jun 22nd
It started way back! A lot of great movies like interstellar, Martian, Star Trek, Alien and so on are based on creating human future on planets other than the Earth. We human beings have always been trying to search for something more, probably think of a situation where you get to celebrate your birthday/Anniversary on the moon or any other planet inhabited by humans or similar species. Wouldn’t it be awesome?
And today when the news arrives that scientist and researchers are almost on the verge of inventing life on an uninhabited or unknown planet gives us goosebumps. Yes! Life is possible just like a few decades back when far away communication was almost impossible and today, we have options of call, video calls, and conferences. Thus, anything is possible considering aliens, life on unknown planets or UFO.
Here we present you some facts about the two planets discovered possibly may have life:

Solar Flare to hit Earth on Thursday Morning 8th March 2012
Mar 8th
One more solar flare due to sun’s eruption occurred and it is the largest of the last five years. The New York Times reports that the coronal mass ejection will hit earth at about 1:30 a.m on Thursday morning. The solar flare is racing toward Earth, threatening to unleash a torrent of charged particles that could disrupt power grids, GPS and airplane flights.
The sun erupted Tuesday evening, and the effects should start smacking Earth around 4 a.m. PST today, according to forecasters at the federal government’s Space Weather Prediction Center. They say the flare is growing as it speeds outward from the sun.
NASA captured a video of the solar flare as it erupted and hurled a “big blob of magnetized material” toward the earth. The AR1429 sunspot region shouts off a solar flare on Sunday and two more yesterday. The AR1429 region is currently pointing almost directly at earth which means that the coronal mass ejection could have a big impact on earth.
Another set of active sunspots is ready to aim at Earth right after this. But for now, scientists are waiting to see what happens today when the charged particles hit Earth at 4 million mph. More >
Biggest solar storm since 2005 to hit Earth
Jan 24th
The sun is to hit Earth with radiation from the biggest solar storm since 2005 with more to come from the fast-moving eruption. There’s a solar Coronal Mass Ejection travelling towards us at 1,400 miles per second. It will hit Earth around 9am Eastern Time, causing fluctuations on the power grid and disruptions to the Global Positioning System.
The solar flare occurred at about 11 p.m. EST Sunday and will hit Earth with three different effects at three different times. The biggest issue is radiation, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center in Colorado.
The radiation is mostly a concern for satellite disruptions and astronauts in space. It can cause communication problems for polar-traveling airplanes, said space weather center physicist Doug Biesecker.
Radiation from Sunday’s flare arrived at Earth an hour later and will likely continue through Wednesday. Levels are considered strong but other storms have been more severe. There are two higher levels of radiation on NOAA’s storm scale severe and extreme Biesecker said. Still, this storm is the strongest for radiation since May 2005. More >

Lunar Eclipse on June 15th 2011
Jun 15th
Today’s Lunar Eclipse is the longest complete lunar eclipse with in past 11 years. According to some astronomers the moon will get blood red during the early morning hours. The longest lunar eclipse occurred last time was in July 2000 and after 11 years today is the day we can watch another longest complete lunar eclipse which will last for around 100 minutes.
The Sky Watchers Association of North Bengal (SWAN) in India will be doing a live web cast of the event which starts at 20:12:36 UT, which is 15:12:36 EST. So people in US can watch the eclipse in the mid-afternoon.

Earth Hour: Saturday, March 26, 2011
Mar 25th
Earth Hour 2011 is on Saturday 26th March 2011. World is participating in Earth hour for the 5th time. People in thousands of cities worldwide shut off lights for an entire hour at 8:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 26, 2011.
Earth Hour is first organized by WWF in 2007 in Australia, with 2.2 million people and 2,000 businesses shutting off their lights for an hour in a stand against climate change. Next year Earth Hour had become a global event with 50 million people participating across the globe, according to Earth Hour’s website. 2010 was the biggest Earth Hour yet, with a record of128 countries and territories participating. New Zodiac Sign:Ophiuchus
Jan 17th
New Zodiac Sign: Ophiuchus is the 13th sign! Astronomer Parke Kunkle of The Minnesota Planetarium Society says that due to changes in the Earth’s alignment the dates of many zodiac signs have changed, according to NBC. In addition, there may be a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.
Kunkle says that as the Earth and Sun slowly move the signs gradually change, as expected. The change didn’t happen over night either. The 12 signs were designated to different periods of the year almost 3,000 years ago, when astrology began, and since then the Earth’s position in relation to the sun has changed.
The Associated Press reported Friday evening that Kunkle has since clarified his earlier statements, emphasizing “this is not new news,” and “Astronomers have known about this since about 130 B.C.”
The theory of the 13th Zodiac sign of 2011, Ophiuchus came as the Earth’s position has shifted due to the gravitational pull from the moon and hence the Zodiac Signs must be rearranged to balance this shift. This also added the new sign “Ophiuchus”, a sign represented by a man holding a snake or “SnakeMan”. The sign is based on “Imhotep” of Egypt.
