ISRO successfully launched Chandrayaan-2

Once again ISRO- Indian Space Research Organisation made the nation proud by successfully launching Chandrayaan-2 , the 2nd moon mission. Lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, which means “moon vehicle” in Sanskrit, took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh state at 2:43 p.m., Monday 22nd July 2019.
This lunar mission’s objective is to launch a rover on the south pole of the moon for exploration. NASA and global media congratulated ISRO on the successful launch of Chandrayaan-2 and tweeted that they are looking forward to the findings of India in Lunar south pole. Major US and British news outlets such as The Newyork Times, The Guardian, BBC reported this event extensively. Even our neighbours China and Pakistan’s media and TV network covered the event closely.
This is a complex mission and was supposed to launch on 15th July 2019, but got delayed due to a technical snag. ISRO More >

Malala Day: Malala Yousafzai’s 19th Birthday

Malala Yousafzai, is the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, celebrating her her birthday 19th birthday on Tuesday June 12. Her birthday is named as ‘Malala day’ by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in 2013 on the occasion of Yousafzai’s 16th birthday. She delivered a speech at the UN calling for worldwide access to education. In that speech, Yousafzai said that Malala Day is “not my day,” but the “day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised a voice for their rights.” She has spent every birthday since campaigning for girls’ education around the world, traveling to areas where girls face the greatest barriers to get education.

Bangladesh cafe attack connecting Zakir Naik in India?

Suspected Islamist militants attacked Holey Artisan Bakery, an upmarket European-style cafe located in the city’s diplomatic quarter in the Bangladesh capital of Dhaka on Friday 1st July evening, killing 20 hostages including 17 foreign citizens. Bangladesh has said that Dr Zakir Naik, whose sermons on television and online draw large audiences across the world, inspired two of the seven young terrorists that opened fire on Friday night in a Dhaka cafe. BookMyShow is the Mumbai based firm founded in 1999 which have its its presence in 350 towns and cities. APJ Abdul Kalam – Last Salute to an Inspiration of India

The body of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, who died in Shillong, was carried to New Delhi by a special aircraft from here, as senior leaders and a host of officials joined in paying tribute to the country’s ‘missile man’.
The body of Kalam was buried in the middle of a 1.5 acre piece of land earmarked for the purpose at Peikarumbu here after being brought from his family mosque where special prayers were offered.
The country’s first bachelor President, Kalam had received several prestigious awards including Bharat Ratna, and played a crucial role when India tested its nuclear weapons at Pokhran in 1998 when the Vajpayee government was in power.

As per the official election commission site the election results of 2014 have been in favor of BJP till 9:30 update. For a total of 583 Lok sabha seats the status of 285 seats has been updated and out of which BJP is leading in 150 constituencies and followed by Indian nation congress leading in 36 constituencies and in third position is Trinamol congress with lead in 14 seats.
