Galaxy Nexus from Samsung with Google Android OS

Samsung unveiled the first smart phone ‘Galaxy Nexus’ running on Google’s latest version of the Android operating system. Samsung and Google introduced the high-end model at an event in Hong Kong, after delaying the launch last week as a tribute to the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. Apple is Samsung’s biggest customer for microprocessors.
The Galaxy Nexus will be the first phone to have the new Android 4.0 operating system with a 4.65-inch high-definition “super” AM-OLED display and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and features such new functions as face recognition to unlock the phone.
The Galaxy Nexus enables you to voice type. It has an in-line spell checker and talk to text where the user can type anything by speaking. The Galaxy Nexus comes with a 5 mp camera, with zero shutter lag and can record full HD video. Facebook announced changes to the way you get news on your page. All news will be in a single stream with the most interesting stories feature at the top. Facebook will reportedly include new ways of showing your appreciation for your friend’s links, videos, and endless pictures of new babies, in its revamp to be unveiled on Thursday. Alongside ‘like’, users will have the option of clicking ‘read’, ‘watched’ and ‘listened’. In the future a ‘want’ button may also be added. Google+ social networking service gives new features!

Google finally unveiled its Google+ social networking service that looks and functions very much like Facebook. Google+ for now is only available to a small group of users and invitees, is designed to enable people to post status updates, share links and upload photos.
Google+ project is giving more privacy while connecting to people. Google+ allows users to communicate within separate groups of their online friends. Instead of posting an update that goes out to everyone, Google+ enables users to create “circles” or groups, such as a user’s poker buddies, college friends, work colleagues and family members. Now a user can communicate separately with each group.

Jules Verne 183rd Birthday!

Google is honoring Jules Verne by creating a doodle on the 183rd birthday of the legendary writer! The doodle is made to appear like portholes in a submarine. The 3D-view looks out into an artistic interpretation of the ocean, with fish and plants of varying colors. A switch to the right allows users to adjust the view up or down, left or right, to see all the underwater marvels, including a pair of deep sea divers.
