Tanmay Bhat’s Video on Sachin and Lataji to be blocked

Tanmay Bhat of AIB fame is now seems to be in trouble after posting a video which is an imitation of a fake conversation caption “Sachin vs Lata Civil War”, was posted on Snapchat and Facebook on May 26 . Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshgar two legends of India and most respected civilian honor Bharat Ratna recipients. Tanmay Bhat is the part of a comedy group called AIB which create their stints on roast which is basically a insult kind of comedy abuses and insults are common part in their gags. It was posted with this disclaimer by Mr Bhat: “I make such nonsense on my Snapchat.” As he himself claimed it as nonsense, but the video has gone viral and divided SNS users into two sections one of whom thought it was funny and the other find it very offensive.

Maharashtra political parties and Film industry persons responded to it very severely. Police complaints have been filed against Mr Bhat by Maharashtra’s ruling BJP and also Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Actor Ritesh Deshmukh said “Am absolutely shocked. Disrespect is not cool and neither is it funny” and Anupam Kher said in the name of comedy people mocking great personalities is not done and very disrespectful. “I am 9 times winner of #BestComicActor. Have a great sense of humor. But This is NOT humor. #Disgusting&Disrespectful (sic)”
