Tokyo Evacuation: Countries across the world are concerned about the safety of their citizens in Tokyo. The German and Swiss Embassies have begun to call on their nationals living in the quake-hit regions and the Tokyo metropolitan area to consider evacuating to other nations. France is sending 2 jumbos to Japan to evacuate French nationals in TOKYO. Also advising all French to leave Japan or head south.

And at the Fukushima nuclear plant workers have returned to the damaged plant after an evacuation order was lifted, Tokyo Electric Power Company in order to control the situation and trying to avoid the most dread full situation by putting themselves in danger.

The continuing crisis at the Fukushima nuclear plant has sparked a review of thinking about nuclear technology right around the world. Countries are planning to run stress tests on their plants to test whether they will survive extreme natural conditions or not. The European Union is planning for a new set of guidelines and safety measures to handle the extreme situations.

Germany announced a shutdown of seven older reactors. Italy and Poland suspended their plans to sign on to nuclear energy for time being. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin ordered an urgent review on Russia’s atomic energy sector. India has ordered safety checks on all its plants to make sure they can withstand an earthquake or a tsunami. Britain will review its nuclear future, but the government is planning a new generation of nuclear power stations.
