The Prime time Emmy nominations 2016 are announced by Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham in North Hollywood.  And the award ceremony will be held in September 18th in Microsoft theater, will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will be telecast live on ABC. The nominations are given to the most popular series like “Game of Thrones” with 23 nominations just one less than last years 24 nominations. HBO had a total of 94 nominations, the highest of any network.

FX’s star-studded limited series “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and its anthology series, “Fargo,” were the second and third-most nominated shows. FX, likewise, finished behind HBO as the most nominated television network.
