Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson win big on 2011 MTV Movie Awards. While chatting back stage Robert Pattinson talked about his wedding with Kristen Stewart aka Bella Swan in “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part I”.
“I didn’t really do much other than just stand there,” Robert said with a laugh. “Which I guess is what most guys do. She looked amazing. She got to do the whole walking down the aisle and everything.” And he hopes moviegoers like it like they do, “It’s very pretty, very sweet,” he said. “Hopefully it will be good.”
The last chapter in the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn” is split into two parts. “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part I” will hit U.S. theaters on November 18, while “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part II” is set for November 16, 2012 release.

National Cherry Blossom Festival 2011

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a time to celebrate spring. Cherry Blossom Festival returns in timely fashion this weekend as pink buds are already sprouting from tree-lined streets. Festivities will take place around town from March 26th. The official festival begins Saturday when the blossoms will be near peak bloom, according to the festival’s website.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival begins this weekend in Washington, D.C., and organizers are asking people to participate tonight in a walk around the Tidal Basin where the cherry blossoms have been blooming since they arrived as a gift from Japan in 1912.
The festival will begin with an event to reflect on the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which gave the capital its first cherry trees 99 years ago. More >

Ashley Hebert is announced as the next Bachelorette on Monday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. The selection followed the show’s tradition of choosing a Bachelor finalist as the next Bachelorette. Ashley Hebert was in Brad Womack’s final three women this past Bachelor season and was rejected by Brad.
Ashley Hebert is a fourth-year dental student of University of Pennsylvania from Madawaska, Maine. Hebert, 26, told Jimmy Kimmel Monday night that she had found closure with Womack: “I think he’s very happy, and I think I’m going to be very happy as well.”
Hebert, who will graduate in May, is looking forward to her second chance at love. The Bachelorette premieres May 23. “I’m very open-minded,” she told Kimmel Monday night.

Apple’s New MacBook implementing Light Peak naming Thunderbolt?

The rumors are that Apple will implement Intel’s Light Peak high-speed interconnect, renaming it the Thunderbolt in its upcoming MacBook Pro refresh. On internet there is a leak of the upcoming spec sheet for the new 13-inch model. It has a note seemingly confirming the rumor. But Verizon has already had trademark claim filed for “Thunderbolt”.

AOL buys Huffington Post for $315 million in cash and stock!

AOL buys Huffington Post for $315 million. AOL Inc. announced late Sunday that it would buy the Huffington Post, the well-known news and opinion site. This is the AOL’s biggest move since it became an independent company in 2009.
The deal is worth $300 million in cash with $15 million in stock as per The Newyork Times. Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington will oversee a new group responsible for bringing together all editorial content from both companies including news, technology, music and local media websites. The new group will be known as the Huffington Post Media Group.
The Huffington Post Media Group will also be in charge of MapQuest, AOL Music, AutoBlog, Patch, Engadget and TechCrunch. The yearly anti-Oscars i.e., Razzie nominations are out! The Twilight Saga: Eclipse scored nine nominations Monday for the Razzie awards that recognize the worst films of the year. Eclipse has a tough competitor to get golden Raspberry as “The Last Airbender” also got 9 nominations.

Teresa Scanlan is Miss America 2011. The 17 year old Teresa Scanlan from Nebraska is crowned as the 90th Miss America!She was named the youngest champion of all-time on Saturday night, earning the crown by performing “White Water Chopsticks” on the piano. She was the only contestant to neither sing nor dance.
Teresa Scanlan won a $50,000 scholarship and a yearlong run with the crown at the competition Saturday night at the Planet Hollywood casino-resort in Las Vegas, giving the Cornhusker State its first-ever win at the pageant.
